Description
A delightful loaf of Glazed Strawberry Bread bursting with sweet strawberries and topped with a creamy strawberry puree glaze, perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh strawberry puree or juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a loaf pan by greasing it generously.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Mix well to combine everything evenly.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and milk until you have a smooth mixture.
- Gently combine the wet and dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix; just stir until they are blended.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake in your preheated oven for 50-60 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center of the bread; if it comes out clean, you’re good to go.
- While the bread cools, make your glaze by mixing powdered sugar with strawberry puree. Drizzle it over the cooled bread for that perfect finishing touch.
Notes
Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to avoid a dense texture.
