Description

Delightful cookies inspired by Ferrero Rocher, featuring chocolate and hazelnut flavors with a gooey center.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup creamy hazelnut spread (like Nutella)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the hazelnut spread, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gradually.
  6. Fold in the chopped hazelnuts and chocolate chips.
  7. Take a generous amount of dough, flatten it, and place a dollop of hazelnut spread in the center.
  8. Enclose the hazelnut spread with the dough and roll it into a ball.
  9. Arrange the cookie balls on the lined baking sheet, spacing them adequately.
  10. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, then cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Storing cookies in an airtight container keeps them fresh for about a week. For longer storage, freeze cookie dough or baked cookies separated by parchment paper.
